Stigmergy in swarm robotics

Just a nice little project on the complex behaviour emerging from simple interacting robotics systems. Two small lego robots are programmed for obstacle avoidance: when put in a cage filled with tennis balls, they build nest-like structures and paths connecting them. In a second test, a robot is programmed for obstacle avoidance – the “leader” – and the second one is programmed to follow the light emitted by the leader. The second robot avoids obstacles by just following the leader.
